  Main information:   Vova Pomortzeff was born on July 23, 1974, in Sverdlovsk, USSR. He graduated the Urals State Academy of Architecture and Arts in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He has lived and worked in Prague, Czech Republic, for last ten years.

 		   Finalist of the international competition Wildlife Photographer of the Year (2009). Special Jury Prize and Audience Sympathy Prize of the Russian national competition
of wildlife photographers 'Golden Turtle' (2009). Second prize winner of the annual competition of the National Wildlife Federation, USA (2008). Participant of the annual exhibition of the best photographs of the year 'Czech Press Photo' (2007).
